Forest dieback due to man-made climate change is one of the great challenges of our time. After all, 1.2 billion tons of carbon are currently stored in German forests. That is roughly equivalent to 4.4 billion tons of CO2. Or to be more precise: one hectare of forest stores around 13 metric tons of CO2 per year across all age classes.
Healthy forests are therefore a central, but also neuralgic factor in the fight against climate change.
We have therefore decided to become a climate protection partner of Plant-My-Tree and to contribute to the preservation of the forest habitat. For every participant who gives us feedback on one of our trainings, we will plant a tree in a forest in Rhineland-Palatinate in the future.
"In addition to many other climate protection measures, planting trees is a building block for making our company even more sustainable!" says KEGON Executive Board member Dr. Yvonne Görlitz.
Would you like to make a contribution to climate protection? We will reward your valuable feedback on our trainings or our company on LinkedIn with a tree sponsorship. Simply tag @KEGON in your post.
