The "Professional Scrum Product Owner - Advanced: Mastering the Product Owner
Stances" (PSPO-A) training helps experienced Scrum users to develop their product as entrepreneurs. The aim of the training is to teach participants how to further strengthen their role as Product Owner through various validated stances.
It also empowers experienced Scrum Product Owners to establish a solid product division, validate associated hypotheses and thus deliver more value to their stakeholders.
The contents of the training go far beyond those of the "Professional Scrum Product Owner I" (PSPO I) training and deepen the participants' understanding of their role. This is done mainly by exploring in the training the many attitudes that a Scrum Product Owner has to adopt in his daily life. This course is an interactive workshop in which the participants experience for themselves what the "Product Owner Stances" are all about through experiments, tasks, discussions and case studies.

The preferred Product Owner Stances (attitudes)

The role of the product owner has many facets. This requires the role owners to master behaviours and attitudes that go beyond the pure Scrum framework. This training brings these behaviours to the surface by constantly challenging participants. For example, participants must constantly adopt the different Product Owner Stances:

  • Customer Representative - Focus on Understanding
  • Visionary - communicating the vision, future and possibilities of the product in a way that promotes shared understanding
  • Experimenter - focus on innovation, testing hypotheses and validating potential value to fuel product innovation
  • Influencer - communicating with and influencing stakeholders, customers and the Scrum team so that all share a common purpose
  • Collaborator - Seeking new ideas, input and feedback from others is the focus here.
  • Decision Maker - Focus on maximising the impact of one's actions by making clear decisions.

This training is aimed at:

  • Product Owner / Product Manager
  • Scrum Master

Requirements:

Participants should have experience in the role of a product owner. Further Scrum experience and possession of the PSPO I or PSM I certificate are an advantage. advantage. The course does NOT cover Scrum basics, this knowledge is assumed.

After this PSPO-A training, the participants will have most of the necessary information to take the Scrum.org exam for the Professional Scrum Product Owner II certificate. However, it is worth studying the Product Owner Learning Path again after this training.

The Scrum certification exam is in English and the fees for the PSPO II are already included in the course price.

The Scrum exam can be taken online at any time after the end of the course.

As this Scrum training is an official Scrum.org training and Scrum.org lives the principle of fast feedback cycles as well as "Inspect and Adapt", all participants of an official Scrum.org training get the following opportunity:

If you, as a participant, complete the Scrum Product Owner II Certification Assessment (PSPO II) within 14 days after the end of the seminar and achieve less than 85% (i.e. have not passed the exam), you will be given the opportunity to complete the exam< again free of charge.

The seminar is held in German with original English documentation and a certified / accredited trainer (PST) from Scrum.org.
